SMS Terms and Conditions for Canadian Trade-Ex

These terms and conditions govern your receipt of SMS (Short Message Service) messages from Canadian Trade-Ex ("we," "us," or "our"). By providing your phone number and consenting to receive SMS messages from us, you agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Messaging Consent:

• By opting in to receive SMS messages from Canadian Trade-Ex, you provide your express consent to receive text messages from us to the mobile phone number you provided.
• You acknowledge that you are the subscriber of the phone number you provided or have the authority to provide this consent.

2. Message Types and Frequency:

• Every time you login into the CME Attendee App you will receive a SMS message. The App will be available starting June 01/2025 and stay open until Dec 31/2025. 
• The types of message you will receive will provide a 4 digit number that provides verification that you have access to the CME Attendee Organizer app.

3. Opt-Out Instructions:

• You can opt out of receiving SMS messages from Canadian Trade-Ex at any time.  
• To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message you receive from us.  
• Upon receiving your opt-out request, we will take reasonable steps to cease sending you SMS messages within a reasonable timeframe. You may receive a final message confirming your opt-out.

5. Message and Data Rates:

• Message and data rates may apply for any SMS messages sent to you or by you.  
• These rates are determined by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. Please consult your mobile plan for details.

6. Privacy:

• Your privacy is important to us. The collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in connection with our SMS messaging program are governed by the Canadian Trade-Ex Privacy Policy, which can be found at virtex.canadianminingexpo.com/privacy_policy
• We will not share your mobile phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.  We may share your number with service providers who assist us in sending SMS messages, but they are contractually obligated to protect your information.]  

7. Disclaimer of Liability:

• Canadian Trade-Ex is not responsible for any delays in receiving or failures in the delivery of SMS messages, as delivery is subject to transmission by your mobile carrier and other factors outside of our control.
• We do not guarantee that SMS messages will be successfully delivered.

8. Changes to These Terms and Conditions:

• We reserve the right to modify these SMS Terms and Conditions at any time.
• We will provide notice of any material changes, such as by posting the updated terms on our website or by sending you an SMS message about the changes.  
• Your continued consent to receive SMS messages from us after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
