Growing gold production at Porcupine – Unlocking value and building a successful future for mining in Timmins.

Discovery acquired the Porcupine Complex in and near Timmins from Newmont Corporation on April 15, 2025. Through the acquisition, the Company has emerged as a new Canadian gold producer, with a large Mineral Resource and significant operational and exploration upside in one of the world’s most prolific gold camps.

The acquisition brings to Porcupine a management team, led by Tony Makuch, that is largely from the Timmins area, and is highly experienced managing operations in the camp. It represents a new chapter for gold mining in Timmins, one where leadership and decision making will be anchored locally and where the focus will be on investing in performance and growth. The Company’s overriding objective is to once again make Porcupine a top-tier asset in the global gold industry, one that will respect the land, operate safely and responsibly, and support local communities and all community partners.
